Message: <blockquote data-quote="ttocs" data-source="post: 1544490" data-attributes="member: 11896"><p>If I had to recommend what to do, I would say to swap the speakers out at the same time and bypass the amps.  Again the speakers are probably dry rotted and you will have to accept some portion of the fact that something will not sound as good as it did with all properly matched equipment.  The stock amps are ok for what they are but a good high powered deck and some good speakers can do a very good job filling in the sound.  Add a small powered sub and you will be just as happy with the sound as before but not have the headaches of the future battery drain or when the speakers do finally completely die.</p></blockquote><p></p>
