Same concept, one welds in, the other bolts in. In theory, you get a bolt in, if you don't have a way to weld, or you're planning on removing the brackets at some point. Weld in is lighter because it's got less metal, and no bolts into the chassis mounts.

Do you know how much it would cost to upgrade this to the 1.25" size from MM?

If it is a significant savings over my price on the new bar, I might have at it.

These are the parts that usually get swapped out when you upgrade to a different size, which is the whole reason why I have this bar and side links for sale. Notice, that I'm not selling any other brackets or end links.
