I did the very thin stick-on aluminzed layer on the outside of the floorpan and the two-sided rubber/foil floor pan insulation on the inside of it, along with the mass-back replacement carpet from LMR and there was a decent decrease in road noise but OMG did it make the inside of the car cooler. Stock, the center console used to be actually quite warm even in the cooler months. When the new layers were added it was like the car had no exhaust pipes beneath it at all.The expense is a bit of added weight, especially in his case because damn that it a lot of heavy layers. But if it's a road-going car not for everyday competition, the extra weight is worth it.</blockquote>
