I had Flowmaster mufflers at the time and they created quite a drone in the cabin. The insulation didn't remove the drone completely but did make it quieter. I think my favorite difference was the doors. They sound completely different when they close, a very satisfying sound!!Yes, you are absolutely correct! My center console and shifter area used to get pretty toasty. After the insulation, it was greatly reduced. As far as weight goes, I'd be surprised if the whole thing was 20lb.
