New info on our sn95s today after a trip to the parts store lol He kept telling me a 95 mustang didn't come with rear discs and mine must have been swapped and that he knew because all he built was mustangs. Told me rear discs didn't start until 2000 when the new body style came out. Then after finally he accepted that they did have rear discs when it was on the screen in front of him that I had to point out. I say just give me the cheapest ones because I was just fixing an awful problem at the moment. He's like man cheap ones are not gonna stop a mustang. Told me one makes about 450 horse power to the rear wheels and I was gonna need a lot to stop that.
specs on mustangs. Stock 95 gt- 450rwhp, factory drum brakes unless swapped. New edges started in 2000

All my friends here refer to a guy similar to that as "cv axle driveshaft guy". He is a great proponent of front wheel drive mustangs and the overall lack of general knowledge when it comes to cars.

Hey guys, don't hate on the parts counter people, we aren't all that bad. You should meet some of the customers. I have a really animated guy come in quite frequently to tell me about his fox body that he thinks makes around 300whp now that he put a MSD ignition box on it.

I was at O'Reillys a few months ago getting rear brake pads for my Coyote. I literally said nothing to counter monkey except that I need "your most expensive rear pads for a 2011 Mustang GT."

He started looking them up and was talking to himself out loud "2011.... Crapstang... GT...." Then he started to tell me all about his 630 whp Civic and how he waxed a Roush Mustang the other day and blah blah blah. Then he waxed poetically about his 320 whp Saturn daily driver with "headwork."

I was thinking to myself - "Jesus **** dipshit. Give me my brake pads and shut the **** up."

Paul.

I just don't tell people I drive a mustang because that's embarrassing.

If I need parts for it, I will order online.

I would of asked him to put his money where his mouth was. Either that or I would of just said what I was thinking to him.....or his manager.

That is why I am glad I work for a Ford/Lincoln dealership.

That's how it is at the O'Reillys by my house. There's a guy that had a new Evo that comes out and talks to me all the time about my car saying it looks fast and sounds nasty. He's one of the VERY few importers I get along with. I can respect a fast import with all the engineering involved , and he can respect cars that make a ton of power with little money.

I like working at the pepboys im at, full of old guys with their old school muscle cars and trucks. I even had this mexican guy come in a blue v6 sn95 with all the cobra badges but stock body parts. He came in, and the first thing he said was " I want brake pads for my cobra", SHDM. Just gave him some stock v6 ones without telling him lol, didn't want to start a argument.
