So I had to choose between hitting a car or a water puddle in the rain. I chose the puddle.... Well im thinking my intake ( fenderwell ) may have sucked up some water. After hitting the puddle, my air filter got soaked and the car started losing power, missing, and a lil smoke was coming out the exhaust. I managed to get the rest of the way to work ( another 2miles or so ). After I let is sit for about an hour when started it up and let it idle for about 20mins. Doesnt seem to be missing and the smoking is clearing up, but it is still smoking a lil. Im guessing I can save it as long as its not knocking huh? Suggestions\opinions are welcome. I think this weekend if im not buying a motor, ill at least be replacing my fenderwell intake with a short ram that stays in the engine bay.

so this morning when I woke up I put the car up on jacks. took intake off to replace with a shorter one that stays in the engine bay, and flush the engine out with a couple oil changes and this is what i got when I pulled the drain plug and dropped the filter.

I hope y'all are right and it works out ok. I really don't feel like doing an engine swap right now.

Are you sure someone didnt shit in your gas tank? Just kidding man. If its still looking like that, i would check you upper and lower intake gaskets and give her one more oil change.

i dunno. car was running fine before I drove it in the rain. i took my intake tubing off this morning and the inside of it still had moisture in it & my air filter was still soaked, thank god its a k&n, it was prolly due for an oil change anyway. i don't know when the previous owner did it last. so at least now i got a reason to do all the maintanance and make sure everything is up to date by doing it myself without the ole lady bitching. as of right now i got her thinking I might need an engine. :) ( Rich bitches are the shit )
