Im running 9:5.1 compression out of my edelbrock performer rpm heads, they have 60cc combustion chambers, ive heard .0025 (25 thousenths or however you spell it) is the most you can shave, if i shaved it fully, would you know what i can expect for a comp ratio? any opinions or input would be great, thanx

What comp ratio are you shooting for? out here in SC we get 93 octane and mine runs on 9.5:1 which is where I want it. Why not get a thinner head gasket? What thickness are you running now?

im not sure what my exact thickness of my gasket is, but its a felpro gasket. i would like to run as much comp as i can with my heads and set up. im going to mill them as much as i can but im wondering what that will put me at. my instructor guessed about 9.8:1 but i would like a forumla to figure out exactly what i will be getting. im going to switch to a copper gasket or a carbon fiber o ring.
