You can add a nos kit, it's not very expensive, also you can buy a supercharger, it's around $3000.00 for a Vortech who fit on a GT 94-95.

Suspension mods, won't add power can help make the most of what you have.

Gears are also in the same boat, if I could do over again gears would probably be the first thing I did.

You could always add a 445 ci Windsor motor with a 91mm turbo.

What can you buy to add power other than heads, cam or intake?

Whats done to the car at the moment (besides the stock 5.0 cobra engine)?

Spend some money on gears, Ie. 3.73s. Wont be a measureable HP gain, but the car will sure accelerate a lot quicker.
Exhaust would be next, headers, H-pipe, catback....
Cold Air intake, Under-drive pullies....should be good enough for a while with the stock Cobra engine.

After reading books and magazines you will learn about things like head porting, 30 degree back cut on the intake valve, port matching, setting up a forced air intake (functional scoop or ram air) to provide cooler and more air, ceramic coating your pistons, .......

....you're going to have to read about the rest. :coolsmiley: I don't know about these things because someone told me about them, I READ about them, a LOT!!

I have been trying to find a good 5.0 book/magazine and can't find one. Anyone know of any good informational ones?

You can recognize what others have done via the Internet or by reading the magazines Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, and 5.0 Mustangs and Super Fords, Mustang Monthly, etc.

Determine your budget and your end goal for the car.
Create a plan, build the car from back to front (HP should be last).
Contact reputible engine builders (DSS Racing, Clayton Racing - IL, Rich Grohl, Ron Sharp, etc) and/or performance shops (JPC performance, Anderson Performance, etc) for guidance. Become friends with NMRA drivers as we find power where others may not have.
