Okay guys I am by no means a motor guy at all, I don't really know much about what to do to change my power or how stuff works so I was hoping you guys could help me..I've worked all summer and have some cash saved up and while my mustang goes away for the winter I want to start working on it. So there are a few things I was hoping you guys could help me with, pointing out what good mods to start with and what would give me the most bang for my buck. Ill start off by saying what I know has been done to the car, it has:

Trickflow street heat intake
Trickflow stage one cam I was told but it's not too lumpy sounding so I don't know for sure
24# injectors
Ford racing plugs
Magnaflow o/r h pipe
Muffler delete

So some things I know that people upgrade in their cars are to like a 70mm throttle body (not sure what this is someone help me here) trickflow heads, 4.10 or 3.70 gears is what I've heard thrown around, upgraded MAF? Urgraded distributer And I obviously know what headers are. So can someone explain to me what those do as apposed to stock and what I can expect as far as power gains and how much this will cost. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

You need heads for that setup to make use of what you have. Heads will flow more air in/out of the combustion chambers.

Gears will give you more acceleration. Kinda like riding a mountain bike when you have the smallest gear in the rear wheel selected versus the largest gear.

Are trickflow heads what you suggest or what brand?

If you have a trickflow intake, their heads are a good bet. There are a bunch of good aluminum heads out there depending on your final power goals.

Depending on how much coin you have to spend, and what all you want to do should give you a budget for each mod. Aluminum heads are gonna be in the $1-2K price range for the parts if you do them yourself, new. Or you can find some used and probably drop that cost in half.

As I've been researching this more I think that upgrading to a 70mm throttle body and gears are gonna be my first two upgrades. Then most likely heads. For a 95 mustang gt with a manual transmission would you guys suggest 3.73 or 4.10 gears? I hardly drive on the interstate and it's only around 60 if I do.

I think for the 5.0, the 4:10 are steep. I'd do the 3:55s just because the 5.0 don't rev past 6000, 5500 realistically.

The 70mm t/b won't do a thing for you. The heads are the bottleneck in your setup.

I have 3:73 in mine , love em. If you want to get crazy from there with out the hunt for top end just get the whole trick flow top end kit. You will need to bump up you throttle body and mass air and injectors to a bigger size. On my 306 right now I'm running a 70mm throttle , 76mm c&l mass air and 24lbs injectors. Depending on how soon your looking to do things everything currently on this car will be forsale soon as I'm going to bolt on a supercharger soon.
