Motor vibration

Hi,

I have a 95 GT. I recently bought a DSS 331 stroker with a 28 ounce balence and a Trick Flow top H/C/I top end kit with a stage 2 cam.

I installed a 28 ounce harmonic damper and a new fly wheel.

I started the motor for the first time and it vibrates pretty bad when it reaches hi RPMs.

I don't know why this is. Any ideas?

Does it do it only in gear or while in neutral?
Does the balancer look ok?
Did you try pulling the belt off and seeing if the vibe is still there?

Is your flywheel 28 oz. as well? Did you change your motor mounts?

I would double check the fly wheel balance.

Hi guys,

I found out what the problem is. I called the guy that I ordered the short block from and he said it is internally balanced. So there is not supposed to be any weight on the harmonic damper or on the fly wheel.
