Is a BBK air intake a good addition for my 99 SVT?

sure. Its not something that is going to gain you enough hp to notice(I don't care what the butt dyno's say they are never calibrated) right off the bat but after you start adding other stuff, it definitely helps.
With that being said the intake is nothing more then a pipe with a filter, and then some fancy plating/polishing. BBK is one of the nicer ones, but you do pay a premium for that badge on it. If you can afford it and its worth it then go for it but there are cheaper.
