It's always about sound, not volume. An X-pipe and Flowmasters always sounds great on all the Mod motors..

so the more aggressive the cam is, the higher it should idle?

Not at all, but just because the cam is agressive doesnt mean you make the thing idle at 600 rpms. The average person who puts cams in their car will say " iwant it to sound lopy" well they can attain this by lowering the idle speed, OR a more agressive cam. The more over lap the more of that sound you will get. however you can take a 270 which by all means is a fairly tame cam, and lower the RPM's to that level and the car will sound like an animal, or you can just leave it around 900 rpms, sound good, and have a car that will idle no prob, all day long. Ask anyone on here who heard my car (massacare, shame302...) and they will tell you how it sounded and it idled all day long.

And btw its mac longtubes, Mac highflo cats on a h pipe with chokemasters...if you were to give a hypothetical, FROM EXPERIENCE, guess, what do you think is in this thing?

What you need to understand is that with STOCK cams, and a 4v engine you can create ANY amount of overlap. The Intake and Exhaust cams are seperate, by either advancing or retarding a particular cam shaft, you can change the sound and performance of the engine. Both good and bad.

that would be SUPER shitty and disappointing. Even though from outside you can see the whole car rock side to side at idle...it could still be stock cams?

Sorry, i'm just trying to convince myself otherwise lol

definatly could have a/m cams in it. but a bad tune with oe cams that are degreeded differently can give that appearance. Stock 4v cams arent bad at all.

well that would be stupid of somebody to do. Is there a performance gain in molesting the stock cams to lope like that?

I'm wondering because my car is fairly quicker than stock, up top. Not tooting my own horn or anything lol just sayin. Have you seen my 35-135ish video?
