my stock is not 2400...i can't get it above 1800

if your foot breaking it, thats all you'll get the 2400 to. Typically you can only footbrake half of the stall.. 3500 stall = 1750 rpms. Your stall must be pretty loose clutch wise for it to stall to that. I've had my 98's up to that though as well. You have a 2200 stock, look it up.

The STOCK stall speed of a 4.6 converter (npi, pi, 2v, 4v, all the same), is 2400-2700 (depends on torque input).

I've said this, like a gazzillion times. I've posted pics of the factory service manual spec sheet...I've posted links...
