Message: <blockquote data-quote="Knuckles@Empire" data-source="post: 352155" data-attributes="member: 9814"><p>like dfg said the blocks can handle 1500+, john mihovetz car ran a stock 96 cobra block and was pushing 1600+, if your looking to get into the big numbers bigger than 600 most mod motor builders reccomend getting a main girdle thats about it. as for your heads they are b-heads, the intake manifold you are using is a dual intake runner manifold and wouldnt work on newer dohc like the c head/tumble port head. other than that the engine looks pretty good if your just going to freshen it up put some good main bearings in there and while your at it upgrade the oil pump gears. i have alot of experience with these engines so if you have any questions dont hesitate to pm me bud :thumb: goodluck with your build!</p></blockquote><p></p>
