http://www.sn95forums.com/forum/index.php?topic=22254.0 - another thread about my engine.

But this thread is for pictures and comments. please leave comments and tell me what you guys think/what you guys would do as far as:
a) tearing it down and cleaning it (less than 10k miles on the engine)
b) just rebuilding it and dropping her in

hope you guys enjoy, give me some love! (OH and sorry for the over exposure, lighting was weird in the garage and they looked good when i took them)

I think you should make it a monster; put in some big ass cams, port the heads, badass intakes, and have it ready to have a blower in the future.....you'll need all of that to keep up with me when we cruise one day lol

mmm idk mayne. my 4v will poop on you. :rollinglaugh: :rollinglaugh:

kidding. we wll for sure cruise around though, that will be fun.

i may get cams in the future. my dad just spent 5800 on this engine + cobra so im kinda scared to ask for much else. i will have fun with the nicer motor for a while.. this is the WHITE cobras motor..

i am still forging my black cobras motor so maybe the black car will get more mods than this one. :thumb: :thumb:

you have a white and a black cobra, your taking the engine out of the white one to put in the black one and then after the black one is done being rebuilt you're taking the black ones and putting it back in the black one and putting the white one back in the white one? i think i got it now

haha wow reality. you even confused me on that one and they are my cars rofl.

we are putting this motor in the pictures back together and putting it in the white car.

i will drive the white cobra while we take the black cobra's motor out to rebuild/forge/mod it. then i will put the engine back in the black cobra and drive that on again, unless i like the white one better.

and Mitchell, Mitch (which do you go by?), i dont know the full details on the motor. i am still trying to figure out if this is infact a 99 teksid block which is supposed to be the strongest Teksid block made and im almost positive it is.. the pistons are obviously JE pistons. i dont know the manufacturer of the rods and the crank is stock i think. I dont know the specs on this motor, my dad does though.

the heads are stock heads and cams i believe. I will get this info for sure this week so i can let you guys know whats all inside of it. sorry i dont have more info for you. :crying:

oh no doubt big cat.. i will be getting the valve covers, timing chain cover, maybe the upper intake, alternator housing, and and i know im forgetting something major.. it will all get powdercoated though.

i can't wait to get this motor done. we are shooting for a month. i can only work on it on the weekends but we will see. im not really in any hurry to get it done as i am busy with school but i will try my hardest to get it done because i want to drive it, we are just taking it slow cause of school. i have all spring break to work on it though so i hope to finish it then. i wont be going to Florida now because ive spent close to 150 bucks in gas in the past two weeks so i dont have enough to go. me and the girlfriend are just going to go to corpus christi or something and relax on the beach.

and mitchell, PM me your number and ill text you or call you friday so you can come out. i hope i understood your response, it sounded like you wanted to come out.

Looks good trey. All i really have to say is take your time, do it right the first time. If what they are saying is true, your dad just bought you a fully forged 4V. It should run like a bat out of hell. Keep us updated

well the rods are larger than stock.. (the lengthy part is a lot thicker).. the guy said that they were forged Hbeam rods, i just dont know how to tell the difference or see what brand they are.

i bought the motor from lonestar performance, the owner of the shop is who i bought it from. they are legit and are awesome guys.

they have a ford GT thats black in HALF because they are putting TT's on it.. in case your asking yourselves, yes they are going after Heffner.

those are in fact h-beam rods. i gotta say it must be damn nice to have your dad buying your parts for you. my parents have never had any involvement or bought any car parts for me ever. they just are not into cars like i am. i hope you are very appreciative.
