Depending on how you look at it, it's either more precise or less precise. For example, a horsepower calculator says my car is putting out about 560 at the wheels and about 725 at the crank. When my car was a street car, and I dynoed it on a Mustang dyno, the numbers were usually fairly close to the calculator numbers (but the calculator was usually a little higher).The one thing that makes it harder to judge with a funny car is that they actually make a lot more power than they can use.Frankly, I don't put a lot of stock in dyno numbers.
