I also have moved and I have to go pick up a 220v outlet to put in my garage, so I can use my compressor. I also picked up some PB blaster, 4' iron pipe for my breaker bar, beer, pizza(frozen right now), and I just received the rest of my parts. Now I just have to go pick up the tie rod seperator, extra jack stands, and spring compressor from my friends house(he saved me some cash), and then I have to replace the starter in my brothers vette so I can use his truck this weekend. Damn thats a lot of work before I even take my tires off :wall: But I know with the springs, control arms, c/c plates, shocks/struts, & bushings I will be quite happy with the results.

NO SPRING COMPRESSOR IS REQUIRED FOR OUR CARS

We do not have a True Mcpherson Strut so out springs are not under alot of load. The only load holding the springs down is the Control Arm.

to get the springs out you place a floor jack under the A-Arm and put some pressure on it, then undo the 2 Bolts holding the spindle to the Strut. Once the bolts are removed you can lower the jack releasing the tension on the springs and remove it.

The rear is the same way, just jack from the Pumpkin and undo the Shock bolt and lower the jack to release the tension

You need a 24 MM Combo Wrench To undo the 2 Strut/Spindle Bolts

A safer/ easier way is jack up on the arm and unbolt it at the back on the k member and lower the jack and they just pull out.
