Beautiful thank you, not sure what you mean by rust belt but I am up north in Pennsylvania so a lot of salt in the winter, I drove this daily for a couple years and not sure about the previous owner, my question to you is how did you spend less than $1000 doing all that? Also when it comes to control arms should I buy aftermarket ones such as A frames or just go with some MOOG’s off rock auto. Here is also a picture of my engine bay, Im not sure if you can tell if I have those plates on the strut tower but it looks like to me those are just stock. Ive also seen people put those bars across the engine bay that bolt to the top of each strut tower, what do those do? View attachment 47234
Yes your strut tower plates are factory.
The bar that bolts to each strut tower, is a strut tower brace. It stiffens the front end of the car to decrease body roll in turns. It won't fit with your aftermarket air intake.

As for the cost, I shopped carefully online, mainly rock auto and did the work myself.

On my Cobra I had to disconnect the steering intermediate shaft and remove the steering rack to get the front control arm bolt out, on your GT you shouldn't have to do that since the control arms are angled differently. I did go with OEM-spec Moogs for the control arms/balljoints.

To Shovel's point, honestly I would just order GT specific parts to avoid the headache of "upgrades". You've got enough work without adding to it if you catch my drift.
