Need to replace clock spring in 1994 to turn off the air bag light and for safety reasons.
Information I found shows only new clock spring available for this body series is 1995 and newer.
Has anyone been able to replace a 1994 clock spring with a 1995?
I read 1994 is retained with screws while 1995 snaps into place.
Any other suggestions? Possibly replace a section of column to adapt the 1995 clock spring?
Thank you

I was just helping a buddy with his car as he was swapping the column. This was in a new edge model and we had to swap the spring so the harnesses matched. We didn't pay close enough attention to the one that we were removing and left the harness clipped in so when the wheel pulled off it yanked the spring apart. For some reason I always thought it was much more complex then it actually was. It is really just a couple of connections and a long ribbon cable inside. Since its already broken I would say to take it apart and see what it looks like as its could just a simple bad connection at the harness that is repairable.
