I wouldn't worry about the instake swap yet. Sort out the suspension/brake set up first. I ran my car for a year with the stock 3.8L motor and just a cat back doing the suspension. Then I started getting into the power improvement.
If anything, pull off your throttle body and upper intake - gasket match the ports with a dremel (can do the same to the lower too if you want to pull it). Get a good stock replacement filter (like a K&N drop in) and then drive the wheels off of it.
ok ill look in to all of this at this moment i have a light weight tubular K member but its for a 95 GT so i have to see if it will work with my car and also going to be switching my PBR calipers for four piston brembos with 13" slotted rotors
