You’ll get some voltage drop through the circuit so I wouldn’t worry about that. Hopefully the maf will fix it.
MAF weirdness will almost always go away under full throttle. MAF is used for part throttle metering. I learned this when I had a MAF come loose on a car when the clamps weren’t tightened. If you floor it it goes to the fueling tables and goes like hell, but trying to come off a stop it’s like someone is yanking plug wires off!

Even under wide open throttle the maf is still used. We just had someone on here with a similar issue as the op and his maf counts were all over the place at wot. Turns out the intercooler had some water in it that was messing with the maf readings.
