Going to be putting a 306 in my 95. I am using a DSS main stud support and was going to go with the Moroso 20506 drain pan. Is anyone using the same mss and this pan or can you suggest a pan and pickup tube that will work. I want to use a 7qt pan that keeps the stock 7 1/2" depth. I know that because of the way our cluch cable enters the bellhousing that alot of the kicked out pans don't work. Using 7qt pan because of high volume oil pump and oil cooler. Also going to use the main stud support because my front main journal snapped on my last engine as well as my crank. That was with only a E303 and track heat top end kit. Going to be ordering parts like Tuesday or Wednesday so any input would be appreciated.

Just a quick side note - don't buy anything besides that main girdle from DSS..I spent almost $2k over there and got treated like I was wasting their time (both when in the store and over the phone (over the coarse of about a month))..not getting told what I will need to support what I bought so I had to spend more money than Tom said I was going to..had to de-burr the main bearings and the crankshaft myself even though I paid $200 to have polished and balanced..and tolerances were larger than I would've preferred on almost everything (bought full 331 stroker kit).......didn't mean to jack this but I've been meaning to let people know about them and haven't........the girdle is nice though..unfortunately I don't have the info you're looking for but hopefully I've helped some by this post..there's plenty of good speed shops out there and I was about 85% unimpressed with DSS

be sure to start a review thread for us Whippy! in the good guys/bad guys area.

op,
avoid moroso, thats about all I can tell ya. :) I'm a 4.6 guy :p But working with Mikey on his 5.0 I've seen moroso's quality first hand. especially on our 5.0s

i run that pan and have for a good 6 years now. fit with the mss and the clutch cable setup. I do have a fox bellhousing though and fox longtubes. I had to massage the pickup tube to work with the mss though if memory serves right. i will also add that the weld on the pan cracked on me last year and DSS did nothing to help with it. Granted it was 5 years old at that point and i didn't expect much but at least a phone call back after submitting pictures/video saying they weren't going to cover anything would have been nice.
