Hey guys. Ive got a 96 Gt with an offroad H-pipe and flowmaster mufflers. Something has happened recently and the
pipe is touching the inside of the fenderwell right where it bends and goes over top of the rear axle causing it to knock
continuously. Ive crawled under the car and used pressure to try to pry it out but it still ends up going back and rubbing.
I was just if yall have any ideas on how to get the pipe away from the inside of the fender so it will quit knocking cause its
driving me insaneee.

loosen your bolts where your midpipe and flowtubes connect and adjust them. Do your tailpipes sit even still?

did you just recently get the mufflers welded in? If so take it back, have them cut and re-align the pipes. I do exhaust for a living, and most of the time looking at the hangers will tell you whats wrong i.e. angled, pushed left or right. check there first.

Yea get under that and adjust that exhaust as needed loosen the front and rear clamps of the "knocking" pipe and then go from there. If you cant get enough adjustment then try the hangers as stated above.

This really isnt 2v specific, its getting moved to general

Haha yea i had turndowns but it wouldnt pass inspection...but ive had the exhaust for over a year. I guess it was close to rubbing and something happened to make it move. So should i look at the hangers first, or go ahead and loosen up the exhaust and try to adjust it?

hey my drivers side tail pipe is raised to far and touches the bumper... the last hanger on it is streched to hell and where it connects to the tail pipe is pulled to the front of the car. what does this mean?? it used to be fine then one day was up more then before.

i've been under there and everything looks as if its lined up right what should i do?
