Message: <blockquote data-quote="jakes_94gt" data-source="post: 781946" data-attributes="member: 13258">OK i ill take another look at the balancer and ill set the base idle using the link you posted.when i installed the cam i had the heads off and i visually put it on top dead center and did dot to dot on the gears, and then when i took the the timing chain cover off to check the cam timing i used the balancer to get it on top dead center compression stroke and the the timing gears were dot to dot, so i would think that would rule out the balancer? but i will look at it again.</blockquote>
