Ok i been doing some thinking on what i wanna do to my car and ive come down to 2 main options.

1) I'm thinking bout going with a 100 wet shot of nitrous with all the stuff ( at least everything i know i need lol ) guages, purge, warmer, window switch, etc.

or

2) a buddy is upgrading his s-trim to a t-trim and said he would sell me the s-trim and injectors for a decent price. (around 1500 i think) all i would need would be the piping and mounting bracket. we have a friend that could possibliy custom make the piping (not sure if thats possible or w/e)

So what do you all think? The cobra is my daily and i wanna keep it streetable but able to whoopass. Whichever i do i'll def get a tune cuz it would be stupid not too. So let me know if there is something i have overlooked or a better route to take. :help2:

s-trim definitely, That would be a sick addition :)

the nitrous thing is kind of :lame: imo, because It's not what your car can really do, idk how to explain it but i don't think it's cool or needed at all on a d.d. street car

If you want a project go with the supercharger, if u want easy hp go with the nitrous. i would go with the supercharger personally. btw a an S-trim plus 4.30 gears might make 1st gear very useless.

definitely the supercharger, all day long. I'm not a fan of something that doesn't make the car faster all the time.

definitely x2! i have never once considered nitrous for my car. i think its just kind of a lame way to get more power. i mean power is power, dont get me wrong but i think a supercharger is the only way to go. or turbo. or rotrex supercharge. O0

yeh i was leaning more towards the blower. I was mainly thinking the nitrous so that i could still kinda go N/A sometimes. the nitrous would mainly just be a track thing. the blower just depends on when my buddy upgrades his.

What is it with all the youngins hating on Nitrous? Is it because of the Fast and Furious movies made it look ricey or something?

There is no cheaper way to turn a Daily Driver into a weekend track beast and back to a Mon-Fri commuter then Nitrous.

You can build a nice reliable street car with H/C/I and then hit the juice when you need it....

Either is cool.
if pricing is comprable, the blower would be nicer to be always there, and no refills.

i dont understand it either. everyone dislikes nitrous. i plan on spraying the car next spring because i want more power (and lots of it) and i pry wont have the funds for turbo or supercharger. Anytime i mention anything about nitrous everyone is like OMG you dont want that you will hurt your motor or blow up it up blah blah blah!!

So now i am pretty sure i am gonna do it cuz everyone is saying not to (and i am planning on moving and going to school in april). and the only thing i plan on hurting is other guys egos :naughty: the one thing that is going to get annoying is jackasses calling it NAWZ repeatedly... i will pry snap eventually lol

Long-term, blower is cheaper. It cost's between 30-45 dollar's, depending on where, to fill a 10 lb'er'. Only reason I don't like it, if you beat me with a bottle though, I don't blame the bottle, lol.

There's no reason you can't fab your own piping, NAPA sell's the stuff, all mandrel bent and everything. The bracket part kinda suck's, because I think they are like 500 buck's, but at least you know the history of the blower.

I have nitrous, so I don't dislike it. I've driven both. normally Nitrous is less expensive thank a new blower kit.
in this case, between the two, I'd go with the blower :)

Yeh i think thats pretty much what ive decided on. He isn't gonna be switching his out until summer which will give me plenty of time to save some funds, build the rear, and do a lil other stuff to my car. Does anyone know if the vortech system from a Mach I will fit directly to our cars? He wants to change out everything and go with an intercooled system.

i'd go with the blower

i've learned from street racing a few times that almost everyone with a fast street car (around here anywhay) uses nitrous, even if they say they dont. you can tell when your racing. i plan to get it one day beacuse you just cant comete with a car if he has your similar mods, then throws even just a 75 shot at you

i dont hate nitrous, im just not a fan of using it. i would rather use a blower than a bottle. the only reason i would be using nitrous is to cool the intake temperatures down on say an intercooler.

nitrous isn't bad, especially when you have a car made for it. a guy where i live has a c6 z06 with a.. 250-300 shot on it. his car makes 900+ horsepower with his new intake he just got made.. its a sick car.

for my own car though, i dont ever want nitrous, i like the idea of blowers better. O0
