dont just buy one part and think it'll make everything work. figure out which way you'd like to go first, boosy or spray then make a plan and make sure you get every working part. then decide what your end goal is and whats the best way to achieve it.. but also at the same time what is in your budget. it doesn't matter which way we tell you to go because if you can't afford it then doesn't matter..

imo i'd tell you to go built block, upgraded fuel system, turbo or procharger f1a, upgraded drivetrain and axles... and so on... lol but the stock gt block should be fine to 400hp with a good tune. After that i've seen a lot of gt motors blow. nitrous will give you a lot of tq.. actually really high tq numbers on a dyno where as boost if done right will give you nice hp and tq numbers.

so you have to be more specific when you ask your questions around here because there are too many answers and your question is to broad. first off figure out what your end goal is and work backwards

your going to need a monster fuel system as well, a worked tranny, and to achieve those goals safely supporting mods

what it took me to hit 600 hp...

fuel:
fore performance fuel hat, 3 pumps upgraded fuel lines(I might have been ok with 2 pumps but i put the 3rd in for safety reason)
I did aeromotive fuel rails kit, with y block and all to the upgraded lines to my tank.
60lb injectors

pwer adder
procharger d1sc 8 rib kit, 2.90 pulley
larger crank pulley,
procharger race bypass valve
snow performance dual injection meth kit

drivetrain
full strange rear end 31 spline
stock tranny with stage 3 clutch kit

and that is just the start, not to mention all the smaller little bits and pieces that broke that i had to replace with stronger things... i have well over 10k in my mustang with the s/c kit and upgrades and so on... i think my block alone has 4k in it, 3500 in the s/c kit about 2,500 in my fuel setup and so on and thats not getting into all the smaller nick nacks..

i think what me and blown are saying is you have to be prepared and have a plan because just making 600hp wont matter if your car breaks when you hit the gas. imo i wouldn't go nitrous just for wear on the engine plus for nitrous motors you would have to do a higher piston cc which in hand requires way more fuel and for 600hp on nitrous i would assume you'd need race fuel.. hitting 600hp on nitrous is near impossible on pump. I hit 600+hp with a blower on pump gas.. so you should do a lot of research before you decide anything

yea i should lol. but with my luck today i bought another car.An i was reading this artical in car craft, on home made turbo kits. an im feeling very ballsy to try this since now i can have the stang for a prodject without worrying about my DD. I might really go this route. IV done all the math for what i need on injector sizes, the size of the turbo ect..

what size injectors do you need? i've posted up a thread a long time ago on here that is pretty spot on, if you do a search for 'figure out injector size" it'll be a very useful piece of information also in this topic read up on my blow-thru vs draw-thru which will also help you if you decide to put together your own turbo kit.

single/twin turbo has nothing to do with what size injectors... well let me rephrase that, going single/twin wont make a difference the fuel output needed is determined by how much boost, and by power output. You can make just as much power with a single as you can a twin... Everything is based off of your B.S.F.C. which you can find here http://sn95forums.com/index.php?topic=35563.0 doing the math 60lb injectors should be enough for you to hit 600hp with and give you a little bit extra just in case. also read up on http://sn95forums.com/index.php?topic=37141.0

Personally, I like twins. However, I have seen many superchargers that perform well and are more simple to install. Bottom line, boost is what you get, and that is what will determine your fuel needs. I have 42 lb. injectors, 10 lbs. of boost, and still have room to lean out. Good luck with your project!

I'm going to be in the range your looking to be and I run SD 60# injectors, and fuel is sump tank, 2 pumps, upgraded lines, edelbrock rails, fpr, inline fuel filter, y block....as blown said just in fuel/power adder expect to spend no less than 3k depending if your going used or new etc.

good luck with the build, and as also said with a build like this make sure you do your research so your not doing any steps/purchasing twice!
