Okay, well I had been neglecting my car for far too long and it was high time to do a bunch of repairs and upgrades. I mostly started on the safety stuff. Brakes were bad so I upgraded to Bullitt style brakes, then I helped out the exhaust a bit by adding a magnaflow. Last weekend it was new Cobra headlights for my dingy nasty old OEM headlights that just wouldn't buff out anymore. It was getting so that I could barely see the road at night. I found these Cobra headlights for about 30 bucks a piece brand new. Putting them in should have been simple... Taking out the stock lights took a bit of figuring out, but it came out smoothly enough. When I put the first new headlight in it didn't seem to me that it was clicking in all the way... So I kept pushing and pushing on it to get it to sort of click or latch in when all of a sudden I heard "Crack!". Turns out I busted one of the side adjusters and the headlight was just hanging from one side. So after a lot of polite cursing and stomping trying to get the lamp back out I gave up and just broke the broken adjuster out. I found the same adjuster on the old headlamp, but it was sort of glued in. I finally got it free after practically breaking it off and then put it on the new lamp which worked perfectly fine. The second headlight went in with far less frustration. A 20-40 minute job took me probably 2 hours.
