I'd put about 100-150 miles a week on it max so while 10MPG sucks it wouldn't kill me too bad. I'd drive it while i was finishing the Mustang over the Winter then next Summer i would actually pull the 360 and rebuild that with higher compression and a Edelbrock H/C/I package. That should improve the MPG's by @ 2MPG and bump HP considerably. The AMC 5.9 has low CR's so maybe thats why they are slugs plus the Ford Carb is supposed to be a POS. I think rotating it with my Mustang during the week and driving the 09 Escape on the weekends/trips wouldn't be that bad.
