There was plenty of fluid drained, telling me it wasn't a leak somewhere that caused it to just burn up inside. It was bright red like it was brand new fluid, but there was of course some forbidden glitter in it too. So as of right now before I drop the housing down tomorrow and pop the cover (it's gonna be epic carnage inside for sure) I think either something loosened up inside or possibly it was just bad pinion angle and it burned up the pinion bearing. We'll see tomorrow!</p></blockquote><p></p>
