It’s actually a Spring Edition to the best of my knowledge, but any compelling paperwork for that has been lost over the years I’m sure. It was my first car at age 15 when I still had my permit, after having a long-time love for cars in general and Mustangs in particular I was able to convince my parents to allow it. While they agreed to allow me to have the V8, they for whatever reason, wouldn’t let me have a manual... SO, yes it’s a slow 2v car with an Automatic. It was my daily and my love for about 6-7 years as I went through high school and most of college before finally buying another daily..Fast forward to age 22, I ended up selling the car in pursuits of getting into a classic. I found a 1967 Coupe with a 302 and a C4, which I proceeded to learn how to build up over the next couple years. While I learned a TON on that car, I determined that I really missed my old SN and wanted to try and get it back. With my wife not allowing two mustangs at home, I decided to sell the 67 coupe..I contacted the buyer of my 1998 GT and found that he was willing to part with it, as he had spun a rod bearing, among other things, and the car had been sitting broken in a garage 1000mi away from where he was living with no funds to fix it..So we worked it out, I borrowed a truck and trailer, and got her back..As it sits now, it’s tucked away in my garage with the interior gutted, a spare 99PI 2v sitting in the corner of my garage, and plans to manual swap it (I did the same to my 67 as well). The car will never leave again, as I made that mistake before. Who knows what will eventually happen, but the plan has always been to have a fun weekend car that’s suitable for autocross or the occasional HPDE eventually..My wife and I recently purchased a home that needs a TON of work, so I highly doubt that the car will get much done on it for the near future, but I wanted to join in now and introduce myself and the journey I’ve been on and will go on with my 1998 GT.</blockquote>
