Ok so first I will introduce myself, I am Kevin and I am a 20 year old male in the United States Marine Corps, I have owned a 1984 Mustang SVO and a 1985 Mercury Capri 5.0. My dad owns a 1968 all original mustang with 36k original miles.

Anyways I got rid of all my cars when I joined and I am going home finally for good at the end of march. I am buying my current roommates car which happens to be a 1996 Mustang (v6 :BangHead:) but I have my slightly worked 302 from my capri which I plan to throw in this car in the winter, some good old school carbed power with some newer school look. Anyways here are pics of the car, any suggestions on what I can do to better this ride are welcome and I was also wondering what offset I would need to run 10-10.5's in the rear as far as tires go if it is even possible.

Anyways thanks and Hello to all.

Welcome to the site, and thank you for serving our country!

first and foremost, i would put the interior back to a black+gray combo instead of the yellow+ gray... then i would change the stripes to black, get smoked headlights, smoked tail lights, a stock 1996 spoiler and call it good in the style department ;-)

as for the carb motor, best of lukc to ya, that sounds like a great project! :-D

I want to put the cobra front bumper on the car and I like the suggestions you made, the carbed 302 swap shouldn't be too hard before a rifleman or marine I was a certified mechanic with the know how to do things.

Anyways, your welcome as far as serving goes for.

^+1 to what these guys said, thank you for serving and come home safely.

IMHO you have to be subtle when styling our cars. i would take of the stripes and add a cobra bumper and go wingless. the 2K cobra hood you have would look good with that bumper. The last thing would be the wheels, personnaly i like the bullitt wheels on our cars. Go wingless on the back too. Other than that, great car, and sounds like a fun project!

Welcome to the brother hood that is SN95forums!!!!!!!!

I like the warm welcome from everyone, I am going to get rid of the stripes. They were painted on so I don't know if the whole car would have to be repainted or not which would suck if it did. I want to put 10.5 inch wide bullitts in the rear and like 2 somethings in the front, I do not work on tanks I all in casualty evacuation requests and air strike requests.
