Get some underdrive pulleys and start working the suspension to put the power to the ground. Example autometer fuel pressure (electrical or mechanical w/isolater), oil pressure, water temp, and if you wanna get fancy...put a wideband in but don't waste your money on a narrow band. If you really want a kick in the pants for cheap......put the old intake back on, replace your fuel pump to a 255 in tank, buy a cheap dry nitrous system (zex brand new is under 600) finish it off with some sticky drag radials.
