Hey everyone,
I just got back into a 5.0 a couple of months ago. This is a 94 GT with a KB on 6lbs, port and polished GT40 heads, BBK Headers, a catted h pipe and flowmasters. so here is my question:

I have noticed that when I am in 2nd gear and low RPM if i get on it, my car will hiccup hard at 3500-4000rpm. and i noticed today that when that happends my boost gauge spikes. Please help. This weekend I plan on doing an oil change, new spark plugs and wires.

2nd question:
what spark plugs do you guys suggest.

Thank you in advance

I'd look into your tune if you haven't already & make sure everything is good. Check all hoses for leaks or cracks ..tightness of all inlet fittings etc. Clean the MAF & filter, sparkplug wires breaking down?

Your KB setup is what I'd like to do for my car too! I am very interested in your driving impressions of it especially after you get her running great. How does it feel off the line & generally around town, real world driving not at the track kinda stuff. I sure want to not be embarrassed by accords & other 4 door cars!!!

I dont believe it is the tune because up until the day i rode it too hard it was amazing. I will do all my work this weekend and get back to everyone.

Driving around town the car felt good. pull from a dig is amazing. you hit boost so fast and you feel it throughout the powerband.

well I think i have now somehow blew a headgasket. I was only running 5 lbs of boost???? It never overheat, didnt over rev it. now its running like sh*t and is blowing white smoke from the tailpipe.

Help please confirm or correct from the symptoms:
-Rough idle, almost like it missing.
-Going through gas waaaay to fast
-all gauges show everything is normal
- not overheating
- oil pressure is fine
- already mentioned the stuff above

please help, Im in WA so if anyone has a block they are selling please let me know. or a shop that does rebuilds.

check ur oil and see if you find any light brown gunk. also check radiator if you find some sign of oil. but yeah, it is very likely that ur problem is a bliwn gasket

lol, just change your spark plugs and you shouldn't have an issue anymore. Hiccups are typically an ingniton related issue. ex: plug wires, plugs, coil pack.. i'd change out all the spark plugs first thing, and depending on what's inside i'd probably put TR6's in

it could have been a detonation issue but now it's kinda late to do the sparkplugs. by his description it seems like it's a blown gasket

Yeah along with all those things, I have oil mainly on the driver side firewall, and below that. I also have some puddled on the lip of the valve cover. Im at a loss. I really just want it to be driveable until I either get it rebuilt or just go a completely different route. I think the previous owner con'd me. Like I said I have had for about two months and drove it two work and back. only rarely got into boost. Sorry to vent I am rather pissed off about it.

I have checked the oil after driving it around, and no milkiness, and no sweet smell, also i pulled the radiator cap off and let it warm up and didnt see any bubbles.
