The only visual inspection I get is for presence of cats, the techs here couldnt tell a smog pump from an A/C compressor. The only plus for having the pump with cats is to extend their life, but if they are only on for inspection that is not a problem. They also help warm the cats quicker so they do thier job, just run 10 minutes on the highway in 4th before the test and your cats will be good and warm. Personally, I have an ORH going on, and as soon as I have a free afternoon Im deleting the smog and short belting the car.</blockquote>
