Message: <blockquote data-quote="ttocs" data-source="post: 1001533" data-attributes="member: 11896">sounds like the spring clips have probably been bent back so that the tool does not engauge them.  When pushing the tool into the holes, try and angle it so that the tips are pointing out away from the deck and sometimes you can still catch them and then try to remove it as normal.  Another option is to either just pull the fuse that supplies the 12v constant to the deck and see if it will reset itself, or you can try to pull the center portion of the dash out.  There is a single screw that is in the back fo the deck that normally needs to be removed to pull it out but it is on a fairly thin clip that breaks easy and really isn't needed.</blockquote>
