Off-road H pipe

When I installed my LTs i picked up an H pipe cause it was the cheapest thing i could find just to get the car rolling. It fits like balls though and really liked the sound of the PC so i'm looking at swapping.

it does have a meaner sound to it, just i have a minor exhaust leak also due to not fully tightening one of the bolt so i cant tell the full real sound of it since the exhaust leak is right under my driver seat area lol.. but i will say it did make the car have more of a aggressive sound even at idle

Buying exhaust is as bad as trying to figure out what intake to use. On 5.0 cars I personally love the sound of MAC exhaust. Bassini also is another good sounding system tho typically runs alittle more. Ive heard some magnaflows that sound awsome! But I've also heard some that sounded pretty chitty... The headers depend you emission needs considering you in missouri your safe on that. Only have emissions on 96 and newer cars. If i were you I'd watch craigs list for some used shorties if there off a fox body your egr will have to be dealt with. Ive had luck just takein my egr off and capin off everything , some havent been so lucky and get codes from it so keep that in mind.

Oppinions are like A-- holes we all got one!!!!!!! here isb mine bbk makes nice well made products. i had mac equal length shorties n a pro chamber mid pipe prior to goin with my bbk stuff my mac stuff aint fit very well n the flanges wont near as thick

I've had BBK catted H, generic O/R H, and currently Bassani catted X. All matted to Pypes Violator muffs.
I love the Bassani the best. It feels like I have more low end torque, the sound is nice and smooth at idle and when you get up in the RPM's the sound gets very aggressive without sounding blatty like it did with the O/R H.

i am sittin in it, you can see the window roll down in the biggining. People are always walking around their cars to show what it sounds like but I am always more curious what it sounds like in the car, to me(the most important person ). I like mine as there is no idle drone and doesn't start to sound mean till you really get on it.

thanks I like it too, although it is a catted X by magnaflow, not offroad. I like it a little raspy at high rpms.

A factory cat setup compared to a OR H-pipe is no comparison.

Ive had it both ways. OR sounds louder and deeper by a long shot.

the aftermarket hi-flow catted move alot more air then the stock does.
