URGENT LEGISLATIVE ALERT
Pennsylvania Reintroduces Bill to Ban the Use of
Aftermarket Exhaust Systems

For the third time, legislation (H.B. 471) that would effectively prohibit the use of exhaust systems other than a ?factory-installed muffler? or a ?muffler meeting factory specifications? has been introduced in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by Representative Michael K. Hanna ([email protected]). The bill has been referred to the House Transportation Committee.

wow, really? couldn't they find something else to nit-pick at? They don't give a crap around here, no sniffer tests, nothing..
If your exhaust is so ridiculously loud that you wake people up, or break windows with the sound waves then you'll get pulled
over..

You'd think there might be more important crap to deal with besides a car's exhaust! How much is there budget in the negative, now? Wonder how much $ they spent on this piece of crap law? They wonder why people talk bad about governments.

or a ?muffler meeting factory specifications?

that statement leaves it well open to include qualified aftermarket systems, like Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Borla, etc. its probably to restrict the use of cherry bomb mufflers and other mufflers that you can buy for like $15 at a local handy store.
