my car is Rio Red, and my bumper has been horribly painted by the PO. the whole thing is a shade darker that the rest of the car, and the paint was scraped off the one corner and rattle canned red(and has drip marks where it was applied to thick) overall, at less that 20 feet it looks like shit.

anyone have an estimate on how much it may cost to get redone?

also, thinking about nite-shading my taillights, high brake light. any input? anyone do it and have pics? btw 1997 gt

thanks

I just did mine a week ago. I sanded the taillights with 1500 grit first. Then I used 2 coats of night shade and 4 coats of clear coat

I painted these with a mix of black/clear. Like you would use to paint your car. The best way to do it is with a tintable clear but mine worked. Niteshades requires wetsanding and clear IMO.
I got quoted to get my hoodscoop painted and installed and it was 200 ish so I would bank on a few hundred bucks for a whole bumper.
