Dominator is the design not the manufacturer. I've had that hood on a couple race cars. It's kind of a generic term.

I was considering a 1.5" one or a single step 3.5" for my car. I went totally the other way and went with a 96-98 Cobra one. To me, the taller ones don't look so good. On your car's they look great, though. Just not for me.
please dont tell me you bought a brand new 96-98 cobra hood. in about a month ill have one to practically give away, as well as probably a bunch of other people on here, and plenty more on svtp... but im sure you know that.

why giving them away?

I think building and modifying a car should be a good mix of form, function, and aesthetics. A few people think my hood is too much but my car Hp wise supports the bold look, plus it helps out where I have my coils mounted. (at least during my initial build) All of my body line flow in the same general arch and pattern with a balanced look from front to rear. (except maybe when my top is down and I don't have my tonneau cover on) That'll be cured soon enough with the addition of a Roll cage and "maybe" a speedster top. (if it doesn't look too "busy" after I put in the cage.) A car needs to have balance. My car says, I'm fuckin fast & hot enough to pull this off. lol

Silver281, my suggestion for your car is put a nice and tasteful wing on the back. Wings like the S281 would be out of the question because it doesn't have enough meat from the side profile to balance the X. The S351 or the Steeda Street wing would fit perfect. The stock side skirts would be fine if you found a way to draw the eye down across the front bumper, like with a Mach1 chin spoiler or the front fascia "justinschmidt1" has. Big color contrast on your hood would just make it appear larger and more obtrusive so Id stick with the same silver color. Or if you where to do a color change, Mineral Grey when be amazing on your car with that hood. Black would be out of the question though since it would make it look like a big blob.

I hope you don't mind my suggestions, I didn't mean to offend just advise.

Hey Sxynerd I have no problems with advise.. You are not on here bashing the way my car looks so its fine.. Now I actually have a original 96 Cobra bumper in the garage that needs to go on (just been to lazy) and the car is going to get painted.. For the spoiler I really want the S281 but I am going to just pick up a stock one for now.. As far as paint i have been playing around trying to get some photoshops of diff schemes but havent had a lot of luck.. Ill post 3 of what I have so far.. Ill start another thread right fast so we dont raid his thread...

like every other person on svtp has an aftermarket hood... and you dont see a lot of people with 96-98 cobra hoods on their v6/gt's... where do you think all those factory hoods are? theyre probably sitting in peoples' garages/basements/etc, just waiting for someone to offer them something for it.

Doah! LOL

IDK if everyone knows it or not but different hood makers measure their hoods from different points. HO Fibertrends, the company that made the original Cobra R hood (And my hood the CobraRR) for Ford measures from the top of the first upswoop to the top of the cowl making it just a bit larger than the other hoods. HO Fibertrends does not make the CobraR hood for ford any longer and that's why you have a different measurement for the current hoods.

very important point right there. I know my 1.5" hood is the same height as Cervinis 3.5" hood.
