lol. well, these are off the new edge 99-04 GTs. the ports on our cars are round (non PI) and are crappy :)

the intake ports on the PIs are a diamond shape with a bumb at the top.

<img src="http://photos-h.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-snc1/v1930/238/125/45208365/n45208365_31924151_6039.jpg">

these are much better

the exhaust ports are round on both heads (NPI and PI) but they come in many shapes. Ive seen square on 351 heads...

The ports on these heads were bored out 1mm on both intake and exhuast. This is supposedly pretty stout for N/A, but will be GREAT for boost....

The interior of the ports were ported out with a CNC machine. This means that there is a minimal amount of flaws.

The spark plug holes have had threads added. Mustang heads tend to push out the spark plug (the heads before he fixed them only had a half dozen threads or so) This will keep those plugs in the cylinder where they belong lol.

the heads have been "decked" this means where the gaskets meat the metal, he shaved them down to be perfectly flat to ensure a proper seal.

The combustion chamber has been bored out

<img src="http://photos-b.ll.facebook.com/photos-ll-snc1/v1930/238/125/45208365/n45208365_31924145_4548.jpg">

this lowers compression (good for reliability on N/A cars and allows higher boost with blowers. This is not enough to notice, but it will also help "turbulance" to aid in fuel/air mixture") It also removed some damage that had occured to the heads from the previous owner when her motor exploded.

the CNC porting is nice, because not only is it nearly perfect to what the creater of the CNC program's specifications, but the CNC machine leave behind small ridges in the ports. This can be polished out, but he did nominal polishing because the ridges add a small bit of turbulance, which helps the air and fuel mix, while reducing drag as little as possible.

hope i helped ya out some :)
