possible intake or head leak - time for rebuild?

Hi guys just looking for some insight on this situation I've got myself in lol I purchased this 95 GT a few months ago for a great price. with 290xxx km's on it, which is about 180xxx miles for you guys. Now on warm up I've noticed a bit of a coolant smell through the tailpipe. I purchased this car with the SVO/cobra intake manifold on it. That's all I really know so far that has been done. I'm hoping this smell is due to an intake manifold leak and not cylinder heads. I have yet to pull the plugs its been cold here.

So I'm thinking worst case it being head gaskets since I have everything apart what are some budget build bolt ons I could look into?

$1000-1500 would be good. I don't think there's much at all on the market for that I'm better off saving for a good set of heads if that's the case though.

The more I read into this I find more info. Can anyone shed some light on this heater hose in the back of the intake issue that seems common? Could this cause coolant smell in the tailpipe?
