I too have been eye balling these heads in wonder. I reckon they are probably a bit better and way lighter than a gt40p head. But not AFR 185 or TFS170 good. For the price point I bet they are a great bang for the buck.

Aa for the China thing.. they've come a long way.. and American manufacturing has dropped the ball in a lot of ways

When I look at the specs between the 165-175 range heads, taking into account the size of the combustion chambers and such... I can't justify the amount of money that the rest are commanding. I mean, even the AFR 165 heads are a comparable price, and they seemed to perform really well on some dyno comparisons. BUT. To eek out just a teensie bit more airflow on a mild letter cam NA, I think I made a solid choice.

I'm going to pull the engine and transmission out of the car. At a minimum, new front and rear seals on the transmission, though I might open it up and j-mod it while I have it out and eyeballing it. The engine, I figure since I'm taking it out to I will lay my eyes on the bottom end. If I find something bad, I will really be surprised. I suspect this engine was rebuilt once. Maybe... but I can't be sure. There are signs here and there that someone was in it. Oil pressure has always been spot on. Temps always solid with no bad manners.

One of those boxes has a new high vol oil pump.

While I have not ordered any, if I can manage to tuck away a few hundred more, I'll get some roller rockers. Not planning on spinning this thing to the moon, so if I can't, then the original rockers should be fine. Only putting a E303 cam in it.

I did have one thought.
Anyone have any suggestions on fuel injectors? If I also manage to order some proper exhaust updates, then I'm pretty certain the OEM is gonna run more lean than I want. I'm not made of money... so when I put it back together, I intend to run it on the original computer for a while. If I can talk myself into another chunk of change, the computer will be next. No immediate plans to send this thing down a track. Just want a solid cruiser with some non-pedestrian curb appeal.

I think the heads will be exactly what you're looking for. If I end up finding another roller for the v10 and keep the red car sbf 302 I will be eye balling these. I am excited to see and hear about your results

Decided to put out the video of my new Richard Holdener RHP800 turbos.
I will be hitting the dyno this week to see how much improved they are over the old Maxpeeding 3582 knock-offs it had and the small hot side pipes I switched out.

the better question might be do you HAVE anyone locally that can do it?
The short answer is no... that I'm aware of.
Not to mess with the original computer.

If I have to go aftermarket on the computer, I'm thinking that I'll probably lean towards a Holley setup. Maybe.
Nothing is set in stone and I technically don't have any direction I feel compelled to go yet.

Are those oem? That’s pretty much the only brand that fit these cars properly. Pretty much every aftermarket brand doesn’t follow the curve of the fender leaving a gap.

I don't see "motorcraft" or "ford" anywhere on the lense. Just some DOT markings. Guy said they came off his 01 Cobra. I hope it wasn't because of poor fitment!
