problem with tuner

I have a sct3000 tuner I try and load tune it says can't unlock ecu has anybody had this happen before I have a 96 auto 4.6 cai,70mm throttle body and upper intake long tube headers of road x pipe mil eliminaters, sent am email to sct they told me to unplug everything and try it again I unhooked everything not needed but I'm still at a loss I do have a new red top optima battery can someone help tia

I would get them back on the phone and let them walk you through the process. Surly together a conclusion could be met.
