I hope you guys don't mind. I'm just going to use this thread for any questions I have during this. I'm doing this alone, with some help from my from my dad when he isn't at work.

first question:
How do you release fuel pressure/drain fuel lines without the ability to start the car? I know there is a bleeder screw, will that release all pressure?

open the trunk, if your facing the trunk on the left behind the fancy carpet that our cars have the fuel pump relay switch is there, their is a harness, simply disconnect it and turn your car over a few times after. then release the bleeder on the rail a few times to ensure no pressure.

good luck

The car can't start right now. Is there any way to do it without starting the car?

just get a rag.. and push on the bleeder.. it'll get the vast majority out.. and when you pop off the injectors.. have a rag then too..

It looks more like a valve stem than a bleeder screw. At any rate, that get's it all.

There are 2 white fuel lines crossing between the fuel rails, what's the best way to get them off? They're not pulling off for me..

In case I'm not clear on what I'm saying heres a crappy diagram:

DO NOT PULL THEM OFF !!!!! they don't come off and if you have allready damaged one then you're gonna have to buy a whole new set of fuel rails. they are sealed onto the fuel rails.

Doh..I'm fucking retarded. I see now, I checked a writeup and they didn't remove them. I'll be printing these suckers off when I start, so I don't pull something stupid. I haven't really broke into my car yet, I'm just getting ready and looking for any potential problems.

Good that you didn't try to pull those apart. Just take your alternator off, unbolt your plenum from the manifold and bend it out of the way, unbolt your fuel rails using the 2 screws of each side and pull the injectors out and bend that assembly out of the way. Then I think you basically can unbolt the manifold next and replace it. It should take 3.5-5 hours
