The stated figures are not absolutes, and may actually be higher depending upon
the specific application.

These figures are based on stated peak airflows; actual obtainable power levels
may be higher in well prepared engines.
Engine intake charge air temperature is the most relevant thermal measure
(not SAE J1723) for supercharger installed on a vehicle, especially when
intercooled; SAE J1723 does not address the impact of engine dynamics, engine
compartment heat transfer, intercooling, or deficiencies caused by supercharger
location.

how do you tell the difference from one to the other? say at a car show?

There are tags that are on the gear case that have the style, serial number, etc on it. Much like a vortech/paxton, and other centris

ah. sweet. other than size and the tag there's no better way to distinguish them?

Physical size can give you a good guess, but the tag is the best way.
