Re: Project "Mercy" - Mustang Chris' 1996 Build Thread *update 9-25-09* lower intake will be port matched to the kenne bell upper intake. the heads will be 100% built by a local shop (Heads By Drew) He's a major ford guy. Full rebuild with his custom grind and custom port. thanks bro. im shooting for a cherry motor... something that starts up every turn of the key. lol. For a forged set up with stock dimensions i would go with a FRPP cobra kit. And they are pricey. so i might as well go with aftermarket and stroke it. although stock stroke and bore is more reliable, I have no choice but to bore out the cylinders, even a little, to return it to a perfect circle cylinder. After boring it, i might as well push for a stroker kit since ill have to run custom pistons anyways. My only other option is to buy a fully assembled engine or shortblock somewhere, in whichcase I wont learn as much about building motors... We are doing the minimum on the bore for this exact reason. If it turns out to be too extream, I will bore it to the last inch of its life and sleave the motha trucka. thanks for the info amigo! I look forward to getting it rolling and seeing what kinda numbers we can squeez out of it.
