Just to be sure, measure one of your current pushrods and that measurement should be somewhere near the middle range of the length checker you get. Once you have that, here's how it goes:1. Put the cylinder to TDC on it's compression stroke2. Torque the rocker arm nut/bolt to where it's supposed to be (~20ft#s usually) with the length checker where the pushrod goes adjusted to it's minimum length.3. Expand the length checker gently until it contacts both the rocker arm and the lifter (make sure it's in the cups where it's supposed to be) Don't unscrew it with enough force to compress the lifter, just enough to just produce 0 lash.4. Unbolt the rocker arm and remove the pushrod length checker, which was adjusted to the length required to produce 0 lash.5. You will need 8" calipers for this: Measure the length of the pushrod length checker. Write this down and add .020" to that number, then add .060" to the original number. These 2 numbers are the range of length your pushrods need to be.The number i came up with is 6.240. If i add .020 to it (6.240+.020) its 6.260 and if I add .060 to it (6.240+.060) its 6.300. Now the pushrods I ordered were supposed to be 6.272 and they actually measured out to 6.250 so I sent the seller (ebay) a message demanding they fix the problem. The set I ordered was the FMS-6565-L302 set which is hardened and 6.272. So if they were correct I would be able to use them and have correct geometry correct?</blockquote>
