So pretty cool I got my Pypes X-pipe in the mail on Friday. Reading that the Xpipe frees up a lot of power I couldnt wait to get it installed. :thumb: Unfortunatley it had to wait till today (Sunday). So after figuring out all the bolts, nuts, and whatnot from the stock system I finally got that heavy hunk-o-junk off of the car. Got the tubes mounted to the headers and the x-pipe slipped on and then..... bad part. No bolts to hold the clamps together from the x to the catback. Looked all over. Not in the box not on the ground. The stock pipe has studs that were pretty frozen so those werent coming out. I read the instructions and it said I would need a "hardware kit". Huh? Ok, so it gives me which bolts and nuts to buy if I wanted to pick them up from a hardware store, but still. Shouldnt this come with the pipe? I dunno but since the auto stores are closed now and thats my only ride availiable at the moment it kinda screwed me. Practice run I guess. So I get to put everything back to the way it was. But there was nowhere to put the smog pump line in the new x-pipe. Where is that suppost to go now? I read people were taking it out, but from which point? I dont want the hard line banging on the cross member or anything. Oh, and I ordered the kit with the catylitic convertors. My mistake thinking they came installed. As it turns out, I have to take some measurments and cut the x-pipe myself to put the cats in. The cats are a DIY add on. Good news I guess I can try it without them and see how loud it is. If I dont like it then I can add the cats. Bad news..I have to take them off again. .02 :) lol
