I need some help. I have a 97 GT 5 speed and I recently hit some black ice and ran up against a fence post and dented/smashed in the whole driver side. I found a car on craigslist pretty cheap to use the body panels for replacements. I've replaced the front fender and door already and just need the quarterpanel swapped now. On my car the quarterpanel door jam and under the door are all pretty messed up. Everything I've read has said replacing the quarterpanel is a huge pain so I was wondering if it would be any easier to just do an engine/trans swap. The other car is a 94 v6 automatic so I didn't know how much I'd have to do to switch it to v8 manual. Any comments or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
