Getting ready to install a new top, '01. TopsOnLine has good quality tops, including tension cables and padding (my cables are rusting). I can do this, I've done tops before. My question is, does anybody know for sure what diameters and lengths of pop rivets I'll need to attach the new tack strips? Mine are in rough shape. The various on-line tutorials are not all that clear, some say 3- and 4 mm rivets by which i assume they mean diameter, since the tack strips are a good 8--10 mm thick. Anybody done one of these?
Also, at least one of the on-line howtos indicates a need for a 13 mm 12 point socket; I've never even seen a 13 mm 12 point bolt; 10mm, yes, that's common on HD's, but 13 mm? Anybody?
